Our Story

As soon as we came to visit Chateau Labarthe, we fell in love. The stunning 17th century features, 5 acres of grounds and boundless views of the Pyrenees were breathtaking.

We’re so in love with this incredible sanctuary that we’re lucky enough to call home that we want to share it with others as the perfect destination to adventure, escape and unwind. Having Chateau Labarthe in our lives has been a dream come true and we can’t wait to share its magic with you.

“The pictures shown do not do justice to this beautiful house. It has been finished to an exceptional standard. Chic but homely and comfortable. The beds and bedding are to die for. I still dream about being back in one of those comfy beds. The bathrooms are again super chic finished to very high standards (something that isn't always the case in old houses) For my birthday my family treated me to a dinner party catered by a private chef, what a special night that was. It is a house to totally unwind whether enjoying the tranquil setting or running around after your grandchildren.”

The bedrooms are all very spacious with incredibly comfy beds. The location is great with shops, restaurants and a supermarket very nearby, which can be rare in rural France. “What an incredible house! The property is so special that it feels like you are in private boutique hotel!! Myself and my husband stayed at Chateau Labarthe with our two children and had such a wonderful time. The house is stunning with beautiful decor and fantastic bedrooms and bathrooms. We were able to relax and enjoy the pool and the kids loved running around the huge garden. We enjoyed the local market towns and also found some great local kid friendly restaurants. Sitting in the most beautiful rural part of The Gers, it is a stunning place to check-out of every day life and find yourself somewhere heavenly. The grounds are gorgeous to explore or just sit in for a quiet moment and enjoy the view. So many nooks and crannies and perfect for a game of hide and seek! The restoration has been done exquisitely. With impeccable taste the owners have really done this historic building superb justice. The bedrooms are stylishly furnished and everything has been thought of - i’ve had some of my best night sleeps in the Château! I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, for me it’s my happy place and I can’t wait to return.”

“Two very happy weeks in a magical setting. Chateau Labarthe has been fully renovated and is truly stunning. Every room is ensuite and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The owner was very accommodating to various room set ups and with young children herself, the property is fully kitted out for young guests too. A holiday we will remember for years to come.
